At the British Allied Trades Federation, we believe in giving back. Each year, we are proud to support a range of charities that make a meaningful difference to people’s lives, both within our industries and in the wider community.

Over the past 12 months, our members, events, and fundraising initiatives have collectively raised over £75,000 for charities across the UK. These contributions have helped fund essential services, provide critical support, and create opportunities for individuals and communities in need.

Thanks to the generosity of our members and partners, we have been able to support:

  • The Benevolent Society – The charitable heart of the BATF, providing financial aid, bursaries, and cost-of-living support to individuals in the jewellery, giftware, and surface engineering industries.
  • Liverpool Women’s Hospital Charity
  • Hope House Children’s Hospices
  • Rosie May Foundation
  • St Oswald’s Hospice, Newcastle
  • The Zone, Leeds

Our Commitment for 2026

We are committed to building on this momentum. For 2026, the BATF has pledged to raise £50,000 for charities, with a continued focus on causes that align with our values and have a direct, positive impact on people’s lives.

This target will be met through:

  • Industry fundraising events, including the Benevolent Society Ball
  • Member-led charity initiatives
  • Partnerships with industry and community organisations
  • Ongoing awareness campaigns and volunteer opportunities
