This year at INHORGENTA 2026, BATF International had the privilege of collaborating with the Birmingham School of Jewellery, supporting them in showcasing an inspiring range of student work, from HND to MA level.
The stand was filled with vibrant, innovative and beautifully crafted pieces, truly reflecting the talent, technical skill and creativity nurtured by both the students and the school’s teaching team.
As part of our commitment to supporting the next generation of designers, BATF International sponsored two students to attend the show:
Haidan Zhao – 2nd year student
Charlotte Isles – Graduate designer
This sponsorship marked the first time BATF has supported students to attend an international exhibition, and the impact has been remarkable. Not only did they see their work showcased on a globally respected platform, but they had the opportunity to represent their designs, network with industry professionals, speak with journalists and influencers, and really understand the opportunities ahead of them.
The exposure and connections they gained from this experience have been far beyond what we anticipated and reinforces why initiatives like this matter. Supporting young designers isn’t just about visibility, it’s about giving them the confidence, ambition and tools to develop their brand and grow into the recognised designers of tomorrow.
“This sponsorship has allowed me to achieve a milestone that I may not have been able to reach at this stage in my career. The exposure gained from this experience has been incredibly valuable. Meeting different industry professionals, influencers, and journalists has given me an early insight into the opportunities out there, opportunities that, as young students, we aren’t always fully aware of. Thank you for everything, it was amazing!” Charlotte Isles
“When I found out I’d been selected for the sponsorship, I was absolutely thrilled. I’ve been amazed by how many incredible people I’ve been able to meet in the industry, people I never would have met otherwise, and I’ve learned so much from these experienced brands. Having never been to a trade show before, I’ve gained so much insight into design, and I’m really proud that I found the confidence to come here, supported by my team, my school, and the BATF. Thank you for believing in me, my work, and my designs, and for helping me feel proud of myself.”

What made this project even more rewarding was seeing how every student featured benefited from the exposure. The audience was consistently drawn to the quality of design and the range of techniques demonstrated across each individual piece. This meant that the impact of the showcase extended far beyond the two sponsored students, the entire cohort gained visibility, recognition and valuable industry interest. It further reinforces how essential opportunities like these are for nurturing the young designers of tomorrow.
We are equally proud to have supported the Birmingham School of Jewellery in their return to INHORGENTA, helping them build meaningful international connections and elevate their global presence.
This project has been a huge success, and we’re already planning an even bigger and stronger presence for next year.
