Members came together for the BATF AGM 2026 for an enjoyable and productive evening, celebrating progress across the Federation and announcing the appointment of the new President. Held in the stunning setting of Warwick Castle, the event provided an opportunity for colleagues and members to connect, reflect on key achievements over the past year, and look ahead with confidence to the future under new leadership.

The British Allied Trades Federation (BATF) marked a significant moment in its history at its Annual General Meeting, held in the stunning surroundings of Warwick Castle, with the announcement of new leadership and heartfelt recognition of longstanding service.

The evening brought together members and representatives from across the federation for what was a memorable and celebratory occasion, set against the historic and atmospheric backdrop of one of the UK’s most iconic venues. The setting provided the perfect stage to reflect on the achievements of the past year while looking ahead to the future of the organisation.

A key highlight of the event was the official handover of the BATF presidency. Gert Schyberg concluded his term as President, receiving warm appreciation for his leadership and contribution during his time in office. Under his stewardship, BATF has continued to strengthen its position as a leading voice representing allied trades.

Taking on the role of President, John Henn was formally introduced, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the Federation. John brings a wealth of experience and insight, and his appointment was warmly welcomed by those in attendance. His leadership will guide BATF as it continues to evolve and support its member associations across the sector.

The evening also provided an opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution of Henrik Skouby, who steps down after nine years as Director. Henrik’s dedication and commitment to BATF over nearly a decade has played a pivotal role in shaping the Federation’s direction and success. His contribution was acknowledged with sincere thanks and appreciation from colleagues and members alike.

Beyond the formal proceedings, the AGM was a fantastic evening enjoyed by all. The combination of celebrations, networking, and shared recognition created a positive and engaging atmosphere, reinforcing the strong community at the heart of BATF.

As the Federation moves forward with new leadership in place, the event at Warwick Castle served as both a celebration of past achievements and a confident step into the future.
